We’re making progress on step four of six and we’re excited to share the news!
We’ve completed our minimum requirement of meeting attendance as outlined in the Park District’s DFA Manual! The dog park board attended and presented the proposal at a Humboldt Park Advisory Council meeting in June, United Blocks of Humboldt Park in August, and Beat 1423 CAPS in August as well. To collect further input, we’ll be hosting our own community meeting soon at the Fieldhouse (details TBD so stay tuned) and attending the next Ukrainian Village Neighborhood Association meeting on September 20.
Overall excitement for a dog park was in the air with the general consensus among the three meetings that a larger sized park is desired. We’ll be in touch with the Park District to discuss this so your rallying support will be needed to make this happen!
Don’t forget to sign up for the petition drive! Please don’t assume someone else has it covered, we need your helping hand! Come to our Facebook page and see the pinned post for all the info.
We’re seconds away from kicking off our fundraising so let’s get excited!
